The soldier Jack

The soldier has a big green helmet
A rifle with a bayonet on it.
He hears shooting
The warning whistle of the poisonous gas.
So he gets out his gas mask the colour of khaki
And puts it on.
He feels lonely out in the poppy fields.

School photos Jack

Dear photographer

I am writing to you to express my opinion about how you take the class photos and arange
the photographs.

I know everyone would buy more if you changed the curtains to a green or a blue to make it stand out more because it would look much more better If you changed it to a blue or a green because  it makes it look more abstract.

You could make the backdrop more abstract  because if the backdrop was more abstract people would buy it and it would look much more better.

The time has come to change the display board to a black or a white and put all of the class photos together Because I don't don't  like the way the year photo I did the whole thing with this and I'm going to block its together I prefer it all the class photos together.

I know it would be better if you photoshopped people who are absent people.  because if people were absent because if the people who were absent parents buy those photos then they get quite mad because they're   child is not in the class photo.

It would be much better if you put all the class photos together on one display board   because if all the class photos were on one display board they could just go to that display board to look at their children.

I'm absolutely certain that you should read my  ideas most carefully. You may or may not agree with my opinions  but please do consider them. I look forward to hearing back from you.

your sincerely

Letter from Gallipoli

 Letter from Gallipoli

Dear Charlie

Hear in Gallipoli there are thousands of flies that are going around my dugout  trench while I am writing this letter to you. Heaps of soldiers have been killed, shocked, wounded and worn out in this terrible fight. Snipers, guns and rifles threaten constantly. A lot of people have dysentery. The soldiers are worrying about their health and there is a lot of shrapnel shells lying around us.

I hope to make it back in one piece

Maui and Tangaroa

“Splash!” Maui cast his legendary hook into the impeccable sea, the thunder crackled and the waves smashed and crashed into the waka as the wind howled. His colossal muscles grabbed onto the line. He pulled on the line. He tugged back so ferociously hard, that he pulled Tangaroa to the surface.

‘’Kia Ora Maui’ said Tangaroa. “Kia Ora” said Maui as he rowed away from Tangaroa. “Wait” said Tangaroa, “I have a country for you, But you must beat me in battle”. Maui was simply fishing for food but Tangaroa rose from the sea bed of the bottom of the sea to fight for the ownership of land sounded challenging and rewarding if he was to win. Maui accepted Tangaroa’s challenge. Maui went back to his tribe to tell them that he was going to fight Tangaroa.

The next day Maui left to fight Tangaroa.  Now Maui pulled out his tewhatewha and getting ready to fight then Maui hit Tangaroa right in the face then Tangaroa shrieked in agony.

Tangaroa thought for a bit “Maui go home and get two of your fastest warriors and we’ll have a race’’, Maui accepted the challenge so he went home to get his brother for a race. So he went back to the the two totara trees to have the race were going to race for the land Tangaroa got tane to help him. Tane got two pieces of kauri tree and smashed them together and said 3 2 1 go. Maui shot of in front of Tangaroa but he was close behind of Maui but in a nick of time Maui won and took ownership of the South Island of New Zealand.

That's how sprints came to New Zealand.
